Accounts Administrator - Circa 30 hours per week. in Normanton

The Job

Our client, a food company based in Normanton, has a permanent vacancy for an Accounts Administrator.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will provide support to the Accounts Team.

The succesful candidate will:

  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Appreciate the importance of financial controls

Candidates will be required to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working IT knowledge (specifically Microsoft Excel & Word)
  • Administrative skills and understanding
  • Good telephone manner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collating & scanning documents in connection with the internal audit reviews and requirements
  • Weekly and monthly file preparation for the Financial Accountant
  • Weekly and monthly file submissions for internal reporting
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable Team:
    • Filing & scanning
    • Answering phone calls
    • Invoice processing
    • Collating documentation for new suppliers and changes in supplier details
    • Reconciling supplier statements and helping with queries
    • Incoming and outgoing post  
  •   Assisting in the enforcement of financial controls as stipulated within the department processes and Risk and Control Matrix
  • Adhoc duties
