Accounts Administrator in Normanton

The Job

Our client, based in Normanton, slices and packs cooked meats solely for a major UK retailer. Employing approximately 1250 employees they are looking to recruit a permanent Accounts Administrator.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant and providing support to the Accounts Team candidates will be required to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working IT knowledge (Specifically Microsoft Word & Excel)
  • Administrative skills and understanding
  • Good telephone manner
  • An eye for detail
  • The ability to appreciate the importance of financial controls

Key responsibilities:

  • Purchase ledger invoice & matching
  • Sales Ledger invoicing
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Collating / scanning documents in connection with internal audit reviews and requirements
  • Weekly and monthly file preparation for the Financial Accountant
  • Weekly and monthly file submissions for internal reporting
  • Supporting the Accounts payable team
  • Assisting in the enforcement of financial controls as stipulated within the department processes and Risk and Control Matrix
  • Reception cover
  • Adhoc duties
