Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our freight forwarding client to recruit a Senior Freight Forwarder/Operations Co-Ordinator on a permanent, full time basis.
Based in LS12, our client is a privately owned, well established business who support their customers throughout the UK.
Role Responsibilities:
- Undertaking all aspects relating to the day-to-day operations of the export and import department
- Calculating freight quotations and building up jobs including customs entries
- Liaising with suppliers and customers
- Completing the appropriate documentation for shipments, invoicing and any other duties commensurate with the position
- Building solid working relationships with all customers
- Undertaking senior responsibilities within the department and helping to mentor junior team members
Person Specification:
- Experience in freight forwarding is essential
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to work as part of a team whilst managing your own workload
- Competent IT skills
