Where it all began
The Concept Recruitment Group was established in Leeds in 2006. Initially a one branch operation Concept Recruitment has grown to be a market leader in the provision of temporary labour across the UK with a sales turnover of £50 million placing over 4,000 candidates per day at peak times.
Our OnSite Services Division operates across the Food Production, Manufacturing, Logistics, Warehousing and Automotive Sectors with over 20 sites across the UK. Our client base includes some of the major supermarket chains including Morrisons and ASDA with us also supporting large names in the logistics industry including Great Bear, Culina and Clipper Logistics.
How we grew
We also have a network of branch locations which focus on delivering exceptionally flexible and responsive recruitment services to the SME sector across the Industrial, Commercial and Technical arenas. In addition, the branch network provides a critical role in supporting the Onsite Division at peak times to ensure we deliver on our commitments to clients.
The timeline below details the rapid growth the Concept Recruitment Group has enjoyed and the development of our geographical footprint.
Our first branch opens in Leeds supporting clients such as Arla, Torque Logistics and Ring Automotive. Our exceptional service levels and partnership approach has ensured that all of these clients remain valued ones today!
Due to exceptional levels in demand we open our second and third offices in Bradford and Dewsbury increasing our footprint in Yorkshire.
Concept Launch our Technical Division to meet the demands for specialist, skilled and technical staff. Year 1 turnover for the division exceeds £3 million.
Concept win our first Onsite location with Culina IPS in Featherstone. A start of things to come!
Momentum continues in the On-Site Division with 5 new On-Site wins in 12 months and we continue to increase our branch network further. Group Turnover more than doubles to exceed £20 million.
Concept continue to develop our Branch and On-Site network across the UK with Turnover exceeding £35 million. Concept were one of only 2 recruiters in the whole country to achieve 100% on the REC Compliance Test.
Another phenomenally successful year with Turnover for the calendar year exceeding £50 million. Concept’s unrivalled client retention along with its strategic decision to focus on developing existing key accounts delivers amazing results.
Working alongside strategic partners such as Morrisons, Asda and Warburtons, Concept proved ourselves to be Key Recruitment Partners and critical in the UKs food sectors efforts to “Feed The Nation” in the year of Covid 19.
A significant milestone in our company’s journey occured in late 2023, we officially become an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). This landmark decision marked a new chapter in our company’s history, reflecting our commitment to our employees, our customers, and our community.
