Hours: 7.30AM-4.30PM
£12.71 per hour – temp to perm contract – 37.5 hours weekly
About the Role
We are looking for a General Production Operative to join our clients team. You will be responsible for basic manual operations working with chemicals in a basic process, preparation of materials, basic stock control, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply compounds accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and load work for daily and weekly production.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workstation.
- Complete end-of-shift and end-of-week close-down procedures.
- Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals safely in line with COSHH requirements.
- Carry out weekly stock checks and report shortages.
- Complete effective handovers and support colleagues when required.
- Assist with training new team members where necessary.
- Use IT systems
About You
You will have:
- Experience in a production environment – not warehousing or logistics – and in easy commute of HD9 Honley area
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A responsible and reliable approach to work.
- A basic understanding of chemical handling and COSHH would be an advantage.
- Basic IT skills and communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and take ownership of your work.
