The Wakefield Top 100 Companies initiative is a collaborative project between Wakefield First, the University of Huddersfield, and the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre. Published annually by Huddersfield Business School, the list highlights the district’s leading businesses and promotes Wakefield as a thriving location for innovation, investment, and sustainable growth.

Companies are assessed using consistent and objective measures, including:

• Turnover

• Profitability

• Employee numbers

• Business growth

These metrics are sourced from the Bureau Van Dijk FAME database, ensuring a robust and transparent evaluation of business performance and economic impact.
