CNC Miller (Heidenhain)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Location: Huddersfield

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established engineering business based in Huddersfield. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist to work with high-spec machinery in a precision engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to carry out precision machining operations
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Select, install, and set cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding equipment
• Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
• Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and product quality
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining or quality issues as they arise
• Mazak turning experience is preferred but not essential

Machinery You’ll Be Working On

• SCHARMANN Twin Pallet Horizontal & Depo 1212 – Heidenhain control
• Depo 1212 Machining Centre – Heidenhain TNC 530 control

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller or in a similar machining role
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Strong understanding of machining principles and mechanical processes
• Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software would be advantageous
