Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our manufacturing client based in WF14 to recruit Electrical Engineers on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will be required to monitor, maintain and repair the electrical components of the production machinery to minimise downtime and maximise efficient working time.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- General maintenance duties, proactive and reactive to ensure there is minimum downtime
- Communicating details of unscheduled downtime to the Maintenance Lead and the reasons, with solutions offered
- Participating in trouble shooting and problem resolutions
- Participating in continuous process improvements
- Updating KPI board promptly with relevant information to pass on to your work colleagues
- Maintaining regular communication with the machine supervisor and other team leaders to
- discuss any relevant issues
- Ensuring comprehensive information, both verbal and written, is carried out between shifts to ensure efficient and smooth handover to other maintenance staff and the Maintenance
Lead
- Carrying out routine maintenance schedules to the maintenance schedule plan PPM
(preventative planning maintenance)
You will need:
- A time served Electrical engineer or have a City & Guilds certificate (or equivalent) in
- Electrical Engineering including at least 17th Edition
- Excellent problem analysis, PLC fault finding and ability to read schematic diagrams
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems
- Fast and accurate fault-finding ability and strong attention to detail skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferable but not essential
- Possess an excellent understanding and commitment to safe working practices
- Good organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Identify maintenance improvement opportunities and develop action plan to deliver
- The use of a Computerised maintenance management system, (CMMS), to manage daily
- work activities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment
