Job Title: Day Shift FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Kingswinford

Hours: Rotating day shifts, mainly Monday to Friday:

• 6am – 2pm
• 2pm – 10pm

(Occasional weekend work may be required)

Salary: £13.47 per hour. Overtime after 37.5 hours paid at £17.92 per hour.

Contract Type: Ongoing temporary.

Job Overview

Our award-winning client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join their busy food production facility in Kingswinford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods around the warehouse and production areas, supporting smooth operations and maintaining accurate stock handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to load, unload, move, and stack products.
• Carry out loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
• Transfer goods safely within the warehouse, production, and yard areas.
• Perform pre-shift safety checks and report any faults or damage.
• Adhere to health & safety protocols and site rules at all times.
• Support with general warehouse duties as required.

Requirements

• Valid and in-date FLT Counterbalance licence (e.g. RTITB or ITSSAR accredited).
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience operating a counterbalance truck.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout shifts.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

• Experience in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
