Furnace Operator

Leeds, LS10

£11.44 per hour (rising to £12.10 after training), weekly pay

Full Time, Monday to Friday

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client based in LS10 to recruit for a Furnace Operator.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative world leader in their industry and the role will become permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Supporting the Furnace Supervisor in the running and checking of the furnaces
• Starting up and shutting down the furnace
• Monitoring and adjusting the furnace control panel as and when required
• Dealing with any production faults
• Cleaning out vacuums and filters
• Ensuring production targets are reached and recording average stats and totals produced
• General fault finding and troubleshoot whilst the furnace is running
• Communicating and liaising with engineers and managers

You will need:

• Previous experience in a similar role (desired not essential)
• Basic understanding of electrical systems
• Basic computer literacy including MS Excel
• A hard working and reliable work ethic
• Flexibility to weekends (and nights when required)
• Good health and safety ethic
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm
• Weekend work and 12-hour shifts and night shifts during busy periods
• Overtime paid on all hours over 39 per week
