Slitting Machine Operative

£13.27 per hour, weekly pay and accrued holiday pay

12 hour shifts on a rota basis working days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am)

Temporary to Permanent

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Leeds based client to recruit a Slitting Machine Operative on a temporary to permanent basis.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company who can offer stability and progression.

Duties of role:

• Responsible for running a slitting machine (full training provided)
• Ensuring that slitting jobs are prioritised and organised in line with the production schedule
• Operating the machine in line with site health and safety, environmental and quality standards
• Ensuring the work area is clean, tidy and obstruction free
• Ensuring all documentation is correctly filled out and signed on completion of job
• Communicating with the Slitting Manager and Shift Manager
• Ensuring that all quality standards are met

Person Specification:

• Previous experience in a production environment is essential
• Full understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in a production environment
• Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic approach to work
• A keenness to learn new skills and to show a flexible attitude
• Competent communications skills both verbal and written
• Have a reasonable level of fitness as the role involves some physical activity e.g. lifting and bending

This is a full time role which will become permanent for the right candidate.  Suitable candidates must be able to commit to the 12 hour shifts on a rota basis working days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am)
